2019

A New Direction

Samuel moved into the wine industry from a background in finance and accounting, spending the following years working in cellars around the world, drawn by a desire to get back to the earth, seasonality and conscious production. His experience spans the Adelaide Hills, McLaren Vale and Burgundy, France, working alongside some of the world's finest wine producers.
2024

Roetman

An unique opportunity arose to purchase some of the finest vineyard country in Lenswood, and indeed the world. Roetman was born here, and will continue to unfold over the centuries to come.
2025

First Vintage

2025 marked the first vintage produced under the Roetman label and ethos. Small quantities of hand-picked, single-vineyard, hand-crafted wine, set for release in Spring 2026.
2026

Breaking Ground

Taking the first steps on the ground after months of planning included establishing the Kitchen Garden, a 100-tree orchard and vegetable-garden, and breaking ground on vineyard preparation. The first private experiences and events were held at Roetman.
2027 +

Vineyards

After extensive research and planning, vineyards will be planted. Ongoing work will be undertaken to create a renewed ecosystem on what was initially a series of paddock depleted of nutrients and biodiversity.
